STL - 50 Years at Harlow

I’m sure that the above logo will stir many happy memories for you but you may not have realised that 2009 marks the fiftieth anniversary of STL moving into Harlow.

A small celebration to mark the event was held at The Maypole Social Club on the afternoon of Sunday 19th. July, the nearest convenient date to that of the big move from Enfield to the new Labs in 1959.

The event was well attended and many interesting photographs and memorabilia from the archives were on display, initiating much lively discussion and a chance to relive some of the events of these “fifty momentous years”.

Tea and biscuits were served by the members of the STL Pavilion Club and the Maypole Bar was also open for members wanting something stronger.

Some photographs of the event are shown below.
